EPAO participated in the 14th Conference “Corporate Responsibility in Practice,” held on March 19 at the OTEAcademy Amphitheatre. The annual conference is one of the most significant meeting points for organizations, businesses, and civil society stakeholders engaged in sustainability and corporate social responsibility in Greece.

This year’s event brought together over 300 participants, including business executives, representatives of public organizations, academics, and members of non-governmental organizations. Through presentations, fireside chats, and thematic panels, the conference highlighted significant social and environmental issues, including energy poverty, civil protection, social inclusion, and biodiversity conservation.

As part of the program, Angela Gaitani, Director of Program Design and Implementation at Develop Athens, and Avgi Gkonou, Sustainability and International Cooperation Advisor at EPAO, presented the Office’s work and services. Their session, titled “From Theory to Practice,” showcased innovative interventions aimed at supporting energy-vulnerable households in Athens. The presentation emphasized how EPAO combines practical solutions with social equity to address energy poverty while fostering community resilience.

In line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, EPAO maintains a dynamic network of collaborations that includes universities, non-governmental organizations, European networks, and private sector partners. These synergies not only strengthen the Office’s initiatives but also promote integrated, effective solutions for confronting energy poverty across the city.
