EPAO recently participated in the 4th online meeting of the European project WISE – Women in Solidarity for Energy, joining women representatives from nearly 50 municipalities across Greece.
Following three previous sessions with women at the community level, this meeting focused on the role of local government in addressing energy poverty as a social issue, closely linked to income, health and gender inequality.
The WISE project addresses energy poverty through a gender perspective, highlighting the disproportionate impact of energy insecurity on women across Europe and promoting energy solidarity at local level.
